Florida Vacation

Our family took a roadtrip to Florida April 17-28. We had a great time! We always count our blessings that Alana is such a good car traveler because it sure makes for an enjoyable drive. We went to Panama Beach, Orlando, St Pete, and West Palm Beach. Jeff made several stops along the way visiting customers, but we had plenty of time to visit with family and friends, overall.

We stayed in a hotel right on the beach. The view was just beautiful! The hotel, shall we say, was a spring breaker's paradise (yikes!).

We stayed with our dear friend, Herman, in Orlando. Thanks, Herm! Alana enjoyed playing with his slot machine, hehe.

We were able to meet another friend, Sarah, for lunch at my old favorite- Longhorn Steakhouse. She brought her two beautiful girls, pictured above.

We stayed with Betty for a few days in St. Pete. Thanks for the hospitality, Mom! One night, Jeff, Betty, Alana, and I went out to eat for the most fresh and delicious seafood I've had in a long time. The restaurant was just a short distance from the beach, so after we finished, we drove there to watch the sunset. There's no better way to end the evening, in my opinion.

We continued south to Palm Beach County for my grandma's 80th birthday. It's always great to visit the grandparents! Here is Great Grandma Honey with her "trinity," as she calls them- Skyla, Abby, and Alana (in their matching party dresses).

My cousins, Emily and Erin, and I all gave birth to little girls in 2007. Here we are with our little angels.

Emily opened her beautiful home for Grandma's party. Uncle Mike and Aunt Sandy provided lots of yummy food, and everyone there provided the fun. It was so nice for all of us to be together again. The last time we got together was for Grandpa's 85th in 2006. I think Grandma was touched by each person's presence on her special day.
