Alana has arrived!

Our precious baby is finally here! Alana Nicole greeted us just before 9:30pm on February 13, 2007. She was delivered via c-section after 18 hours of low dose pitocin and not much progress. Alana weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches long. Jeff held my hand through the whole process and was privileged to be the first to hold our daughter's hand when she entered the world also.
Grandma Betty and Grandma Sue stayed at the hospital all day with us and waited until midnight, when they could finally meet their granddaughter for the first time. The following day, Betty traveled to Alabama while my mother stayed in Atlanta. She kept me company during the days at the hospital so Jeff could find some relief in shower and nap time at the house. Those hospital chairs aren't exactly the most comfortable sleeping arrangements!
Grandpa Rick and Lori visited Baby Alana on Valentine's Day. Grandpa brought his two girls a bouquet of pink roses, which was very special.
Alana and I were discharged from the hospital on Friday, February 16th. Mom, Dad, Lori, Jeff, and I ate a wonderful dinner together, which Mom prepared. Mom stayed at the house through Tuesday, cooking, cleaning, and helping w/ the baby. What a blessing!
That same day, Betty arrived, and she is currently staying with us. Another blessing; we have been spoiled and will hate to see our Mom(s) leave.
